I was recently talking with a good friend of mine about time. Time it seems can either go very fast or very slow on any given day. The track of time for many of us can elude us from time to time and then we think we wasted the whole day! We say, ” Where did the time go?”
My whole idea of writing a blog was to feel more connected with others to share my thoughts and ideas. My good intentions went to the back burner as the everyday life settled in. Having a farm with animals, taking care of family, work & school take up time. Even our creative outlets, the internet and television all can get us lost in time.
I recently read the book “The Compound Effect” by Darren Hardy. One of the things that stood out for me was how we choose to use our time and the unawareness we can have of it. To change one way of being doesn’t have to be all or nothing. It comes gradually with a small amount of time to focus on what it is you want to add or subtract from your life. But the key is awareness, being accountable for your time. And that might possibly mean tracking where it went.
So for me I am going to start writing again. You may not hear from me everyday. As I am committed to 15 minutes in my morning routine.
What about you? Are you starting something new or letting go? I would love to hear your thoughts!
